Privacy, data, and uninstalling

Reviewed by Eran Betzalel, founder · 2026-06-29

You stay in control of your data in Boostmail: you can export your contacts and related data at any time, exercise your GDPR rights, and uninstall whenever you choose. Uninstalling removes the app’s access to your Shopify store, and a full deletion of your stored data is available on request. This page explains each of those, and points to the privacy policy and GDPR page for the full detail.

Export your data

Boostmail offers data export so you’re never locked in. You can download your contacts and related data, typically as a CSV, and keep it or move it to another tool. If you’re planning to uninstall, export first so you retain a copy of your subscriber list and history.

Your GDPR and privacy rights

If you’re in a region covered by the GDPR (or a similar privacy law), you have rights over your personal data, including the right to access it, correct it, and request its deletion. To exercise any of these, email [email protected]. For how Boostmail collects, uses, and protects personal data, and for the legal detail behind these rights, read the privacy policy and the GDPR page.

Your own subscribers have rights too. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can remove or suppress a contact whenever they ask. If you receive a data request from one of your customers, you can export or delete the relevant contact data, and support can help if you need it.

Uninstall Boostmail

To uninstall, go to Settings → Apps in your Shopify admin and remove Boostmail. Uninstalling removes the app’s access to your store, so Boostmail stops syncing your customers and stops sending on your behalf.

If, in addition to uninstalling, you want your stored data fully deleted, contact [email protected] and request a complete data deletion. The team will handle it in line with the privacy policy.

Before you go

If something isn’t working the way you expected, reach out before uninstalling, many issues are quick to resolve. Email [email protected] and the founder will get back to you.
