Send your first campaign

You can send your first Boostmail email in just a few minutes: pick a template, write or AI-generate the copy, choose a segment, preview and test, then send. The whole flow uses a drag-and-drop builder, so you never touch code, and the Free plan includes 10,000 emails and 20,000 AI words per month, more than enough to get started.
Pick a starting point
Rather than designing from scratch, start from a template and customize it in the drag-and-drop builder. Swap in your logo, brand colors, product images, and a clear call-to-action button. Keep your first email simple, one offer, one button, so the message is easy to act on.
Write copy, with an AI assist
A strong subject line is the difference between an opened email and an ignored one. Write your own, or use Boostmail’s AI content generation to draft a subject line and body, then edit it so it sounds like you. AI is a starting point, not a substitute for review: always check that claims, prices, and links are correct before sending.
Choose a focused segment
Resist the urge to email everyone on day one. Sending to an engaged segment, recent purchasers or subscribers who have opened recently, produces better results and is easier on your sender reputation, especially while your domain is still warming up. Boostmail’s segmentation uses your Shopify data, so you can target by purchase history, spend, and more.
Preview, test, then send
Preview the email on both desktop and mobile, then send a test to yourself. Confirm the subject line, every link, image rendering, and any personalization tags (like first name) resolve correctly. When everything checks out, send now or schedule it for a higher-engagement time. After it goes out, Boostmail tracks opens, clicks, and conversions so you can learn what works.

- 1
Start a new campaign and pick a template
From the Boostmail dashboard, create a new email campaign and choose a starting template. The drag-and-drop builder lets you adjust layout, colors, images, and buttons without touching code.
- 2
Write your copy, or generate it with AI
Add your subject line and body. If you want a head start, use the built-in AI writer to draft a subject line and on-brand body copy, then edit it to match your voice. The Free plan includes 20,000 AI words per month.
- 3
Choose who receives it
Select a segment instead of blasting everyone. For a first send, a focused group, recent buyers or engaged subscribers, tends to perform better and is gentler on your sender reputation.
- 4
Preview and send a test
Preview the email on desktop and mobile, then send a test to yourself. Check the subject line, links, images, and any personalization tags before going live.
- 5
Send or schedule
When it looks right, send immediately or schedule it for a better time. Boostmail starts delivering and tracks opens, clicks, and conversions so you can see how it performed.
Frequently asked questions
- Should I email my whole list on the first send?
- Usually not. Sending to a focused, engaged segment first produces stronger open and click rates and protects your sender reputation. You can widen your audience as your domain warms up and you see healthy engagement.
- Is there a cost to send?
- Paid plans include unlimited emails. The Free plan includes 10,000 emails per month, which is plenty for a first campaign and regular sending to a small list.
- Can AI write the whole email for me?
- The AI writer can draft your subject line and body copy to get you started, but you should always review and edit it so it matches your brand voice and is accurate about your products and offers.
- How do I know if my campaign worked?
- Boostmail reports opens, clicks, and conversions for every campaign so you can compare subject lines and offers and improve your next send.
