BoostMail Add app, free

Install Boostmail and connect your store

Reviewed by Eran Betzalel, founder · 2026-06-29

Installing Boostmail takes about two minutes: add the app from the Shopify App Store, approve the standard permissions, and your store is connected, no developer and no code required. Because Boostmail is built specifically for Shopify, it reads your products, customers, and orders directly, so segments and automations work the moment the first sync completes. The Free plan is active immediately and supports up to 1,000 active subscribers with no credit card.

Before you start

You only need one thing: admin access to the Shopify store you want to connect. If your store has multiple staff accounts, make sure yours has permission to install apps. You do not need to prepare anything else in advance, your existing Shopify customers and their consent status import automatically once Boostmail is installed.

What happens on install

When you click Add app, Shopify shows the permissions Boostmail requests. These let the app read customer, product, and order data so it can build accurate segments (for example, “customers who bought in the last 30 days”) and trigger automations like abandoned-cart recovery. Boostmail does not change your storefront or theme when you install it.

After you approve, Boostmail opens embedded inside your Shopify admin and begins its initial sync. Most stores finish syncing within a few minutes.

Finish setup

Two quick settings make your first send land well:

  • Sender identity, Open Settings and set the from-name and reply-to address subscribers will see. A recognizable sender name improves open rates and reduces spam complaints.
  • Domain authentication, To get the best inbox placement, add SPF, DKIM, and DMARC records for your sending domain. This is the single biggest deliverability lever and is covered step by step in the domain authentication guide.

Next steps

With the app connected, you are ready to bring over contacts from a previous tool and send your first message. Continue with importing your subscriber list, then send your first campaign. If you have questions during setup, email [email protected] and the founder will help.

  1. 1

    Open the App Store listing

Go to the Boostmail listing on the Shopify App Store at apps.shopify.com/mailpass and click Add app. You must be signed in to the Shopify admin for the store you want to connect.

  2. 2

    Approve the install

Shopify shows the permissions Boostmail needs to read your products, customers, and orders so it can build segments and automations. Review them and click Install to add Boostmail to your store.

  3. 3

    Land in the Boostmail dashboard

After installing, Boostmail opens embedded inside your Shopify admin. The Free plan is active immediately, so there is nothing to pay and no trial countdown to worry about.

  4. 4

    Let the initial sync run

Boostmail imports your existing Shopify customers and their marketing-consent status automatically. The first sync usually finishes within a few minutes, depending on catalog and customer-list size.

  5. 5

    Set your sender details

Open Settings and confirm your sender name and reply-to address so campaigns send from a recognizable identity. When you are ready to maximize inbox placement, follow the domain-authentication guide.

Frequently asked questions

Does installing Boostmail cost anything?
No. The Free plan supports up to 1,000 active subscribers and 10,000 emails per month at no cost, and no credit card is required to install. You only pay if you upgrade to a paid plan for more subscribers or features.
Will installing Boostmail change my storefront or theme?
No. Boostmail runs inside your Shopify admin and does not modify your live theme on install. Your storefront stays exactly as it is.
Can I uninstall later?
Yes. You can remove Boostmail at any time from Settings → Apps in your Shopify admin. Uninstalling removes the app's access to your store.
My saved link to the app stopped working. Where did it go?
The app's address inside your Shopify admin changed from .../apps/mailpass to .../apps/boostmail when the app was renamed to Boostmail. A bookmark saved to the old address no longer opens. Open Boostmail from the Apps section of your Shopify admin sidebar instead, that entry updates itself automatically, or save the new address, https://admin.shopify.com/store/your-store/apps/boostmail, replacing your-store with your store handle. Nothing else changed: your account, data, subscribers, and plan are exactly as they were, and you do not need to reinstall.
